About Us

Back in 1993, a few Forbes College kids got together and created a new group known as ‘Inn Tune’. They started out singing “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” in the dining hall, but gradually expanded, gaining new members and relocating performances to 1879 Arch. In 1994 the group picked a new name and mascot the classic Disney (or is it Rudyard Kipling?) character Shere Khan, the fierce tiger from The Jungle Book.

Since then we’ve become one of the most sought-after groups on campus, performing at various events on and off campus, as well as packing arch sings with our amazing SK superfans. We arrange our own music and have released six studio albums, but we still find time for international tours, annual excursions to the Jersey Shore, and celebrations of all sorts everywhere from Prospect Street to Thai Village Restaurant. The spirit of SK will always be about great friends singing our favorite songs.
