Jersey Shore Season 2.5– Retreat to LBI
This fall, Shere Khan returned once again to the Jersey Shore for our annual weeklong beach retreat. On Labor Day Monday, a week before school began, we reconvened on Princeton’s campus for our familiar trek to Long Beach Island. As usual, we made lots of friends at the shore – be they beachcombers, restaurant owners, or the two friendly strangers the guys co-opted to trick the girls into letting them back into the house (thanks again!). Also, in exciting news this year, Shere Khan was offered a spot on MTV as a rival group to the already famous cast from Jersey Shore. Jack “The Circumstance” Marzulli and Phoenix “Snooxy” Gonzalez will star in the show. Just kidding.
Not only was retreat a great chance to polish our repertoire after a summer apart, but it also gave us time to reflect on SK’s goals for this year and beyond. We had exciting discussions about our current studio album, ranging from themes, to potential titles and artwork, and to the other final production steps to be taken over the next couple months. We can’t wait to release this baby in February!
Other highlights from the trip include assorted beach games, delicious bananas foster a la Chef Cole, and rooftop stargazing. After a summer apart, it is times like these that remind us of the wonderful musical and personal relationships Shere Khan brings us.
